I graduated from Glasgow University Veterinary School in 1978 & moved to Cumbria to work in a mixed practice in Broughton- in -Furness with my husband Rick.
After the birth of my children I decided to specialise in small animal work & joined John Stitt in the Alexander Veterinary Centre & for the past 30 years I have loved caring for my patients & their owners in the Furness area.
My main interests are dentistry & small animal medicine & have taken advantage of the considerable advancement of both fields since graduation by regularly attending CPD courses.
I have enjoyed breeding my black Labradors over the years & presently have mother & son, Jess & Sam who are much loved members of the family.
Family & veterinary work has been the main focus of my life but in my spare time I have become involved with the sport of orienteering & have both competed & coached children over the past 20 years.
I have seen many changes at AVC since I first joined & am very proud to be part of a professional & dedicated team of vets, nurses & reception staff.
