Gill Browne BVMS MRCVS
I graduated from the Glasgow Veterinary School in 1978 and then spent several years working with my husband, Rick, in a mixed practice in Broughton-in-Furness.
After a few years 'at home' raising a family I decided to concentrate on small animal work and joined the Alexander Veterinary Centre in 1993.
I enjoy all aspects of small animal work. My main interests are dentistry and endocrinology; in particular looking after the practice diabetics. With the increasing number of cats as patients in our practice I found the 'Improve CPD' Feline Medicine Modular Course I attended last year both informative and useful. .
Much of my spare time is involved with my family. I have two teenage children who are both 'sports-mad' As a family we are all very keen on Orienteering; cross-country running with a map! Living in the Lake District enables us to enjoy the sport to the full and most 'free' weekends will see us on the fells, hopefully not getting lost!
